06.26.2008 — Structured Cable Products (SCP) is coming out with a slew of new high-quality cables and interconnects, including the HDMI Cat5e Extender.

The products are designed to be used for HDMI, access control security, audio, specialized control and pre-wire speaker installations.

SCP's HDMI Cat5e Extender uses two CAT5e or CAT6 cables to extend 1080p signals up to 115 or 165 feet, respectively, with rates up to 2.2 Gbits. The HDMI Cat5e Extender Set is HDCP compliant.

SCP is also releasing two bundled Access Control Security cables -- ACC-1 and ACC-2. ACC-1 consists of 2C/22ga stranded bare copper, 4C/22ga stranded bare copper, 6C/22ga stranded shielded bare copper and 4C/18ga stranded bare copper cable.

The ACC-2 consists of Cat5e and 2C/16ga stranded bare copper cable.

Finally, SCP is introducing new Home Theater Wall Plates, which organizes whole-home audio and home theater cables into one wall location.

The plates come with gold-plated binding posts and RCA jacks and are compatible with Dolby Digital sound systems.

The UL-approved wall plates come in three versions: 6.2 (six speakers and two subwoofers), 7.2 (seven speakers and two subwoofers) and 10.2 (ten speakers and two subwoofers).

SCP did not release pricing or availability information.
